It's been said that native people groups used to believe that a photograph would steal the soul of the subject. Well a great photo may not "steal" the person's soul, but it needs to be more about who the subject is, and how they feel than about what they look like. In other words, it needs to capture the soul of the subject.
My goal as a photographer is to capture the real essence of my subject's personality in a way that is beautiful and artistic. I try to bring fine art vision into every picture, and show the true beauty, both inner and outer, in every person that gives me the privilege of photographing them.
I've been a serious artist and photographer since the 70s. I've studied art at Anna Maria College, and the Worcester Art Museum, and have had works hang in many Worcester area galleries as well as the Fitchburg Art Museum.
